These high performance sensor cables are used in applications ranging from speed sensors to engine monitoring cables, cam speed sensors, pressure sensors, and ignition and temperature controls. These cables are resistant to all harsh fluids commonly found in the automotive environment such as: battery acid, engine coolants, gasoline, transmission fluid and brake fluid. ICLP is a lower cost alternative to FEP, PFA, or Tefzel® insulation.
ICLP insulation exhibits excellent hydrolytic stability. ICLP cables are available in two conductors through 50 conductor #26-10 AWG. It is also available in shielded pairs, triads with optional overall shield or stainless steel braid armor.
High TemperatureICLP insulated cables are rated 150°C continuous. It will withstand temperatures up to 180°C for 240 continuous hours and also thermally aged at 240°C with no cracks detected after exposure for 6 hours.
Flexible and RuggedICLP insulated cables are easy to handle, bend and, route around corners and tight areas. It has very good abrasion resistance and is a tough and durable insulating and jacketing cable.
Meets and Exceeds SAE J-1127 STXICLP insulated and jacketed cables meet and exceed the stringent performance requirements of SAE J-1127 STX. Please request performance criteria.
Thin and LightweightICLP insulations weigh 12% less than other XLP, FEP or ETFE insulated cables.
