250°C (482°F) Thermoset PTFE PTFE Teflon® Insulated Lead Wire Heavy Duty 600V
Thermal Wire and Cable's PTFE Teflon® insulated lead wire offers a wide service temperature range. Standard conductor material is nickel-plated copper. PTFE Teflon® retains its properties after service at 260°C (500°F) to -80°C.

Thermal Wire and Cable's PTFE Teflon insulated conductors produce very little smoke when burned and are chemically inert to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents. As a primary insulation PTFE couples superior dielectric properties, heat resistance and durability. Being a thermoset insulation, it does not melt or "shrink back" when hit with a soldering gun like PFA or FEP insulations can do. Intended use is internal wiring of appliance and electronic equipment. Tags may indicate the following: 2500 Volts peak-for electronic use only.

In addition, the tag may also indicate one or more of the following: Suitable for immersion in gasoline; gasoline vapor; 80°C in oil. Its flexible nature and small diameter profile provides for easy, economical installations. Fully pigmented insulation in bright colors aids in positive identification. Long continuous lengths of wire are not generally available with PTFE wire and an accepted industry practice allows for about 4-5 lengths per 2500 ft. (26 AWG - 10 AWG).

Compared with other high temperature cables that are augmented with a braid, Thermal Wire and Cable's PTFE Teflon insulated lead wire slides rather than tears, yet its abrasion resistance helps eliminate cut-through and other damage that can occur during installation and use. Thermal Wire and Cable PTFE lead wires are 20% smaller in diameter than braided cables allowing more circuits per conduit.

Multi-conductor cables and 300 Volt lead wire also available. Due to manufacturing limitations, PTFE insulated wire is not available in long continuous lengths. Available in 26 AWG - 4/0. Teflon is a registered trademark of the Du Pont Corporation.

*Please specify color : 0-black, 1-tan, 2-red, 3-orange, 4-yellow, 5-green, 6-blue, 7-purple, 8-gray, 9-white. Stripe color example -100 tan base color with two black stripes.

Intended Use : Internal wiring of appliances and fixtures.
Conductor options : Nickel-Plated copper conductor is standard. Solid or stranded Grade A (Nickel 200) available.
